Hi

I am trying to find some ready keyed images of a few casual characters standing and sitting. These will be composited into animation of a timelapse showing a living space throughout the day. There will be a little motion blur on the characters and the timelapse is quite quick (1 sec of anim = 1 hour of time) so I can get away with low-med quality images and inconsistencies in the images.

I can't find a cost effective way of doing this. Does anyone know where I can get a collection of images (with alpha mattes) like this?

Really appreciate any help.

You're really gonna need to give more details on exactly what you are after.

ok...I have about 6secs of CG footage of a living space. This is meant to be a timelapse over 6hours showing lights coming on and off, tv etc I think you get the picture. Now the one thing it really needs to communicate quite a lot in a few seconds is to show people moving in and out of the space in timelapse fashion. I am planning to do this in post rather than use cg characters. To do this I need a good set of images of 2/3 people from different angles, standing, sitting etc. Then I'll composite them in After Effects or something - a bit of manual work, but for 6 secs its not a big deal. Its important that the images have an alpha channel otherwise I'll end up spending a long time dropping out the backdrop on each image.

Hope this makes my question clearer

I have no idea where to find something like this. You may end up having to take the pictures yourself. I don't suppose you have a green screen do you?

some of the walls in my house are a nice morrocan yellow :)
I don't really have the resources (or time) to take such images.

Well I suppose I could pose some cg characters - I'm reluctant to do this because its not something I do very well and will take some time.

Thanks for the suggestion

Id just take about 4 pictures of 3 people and extract them in Photoshop, take about 5 minutes a picture tops

I think I would need about 10 shots x 3 people = 30 shots. I suppose this is not a bad solution really - could be done quite quickly if the shots are setup well. Just don't know where to find the people to photograph! (I'm a company of one and my wife is camera shy)

Thanks for the help

It's a CD of pre-keyed people to be used in architectural projects. I think they have a couple of them.

thanks..I took at look it this earlier - great for architectural stuff where you just what people walking around. Would not work so well for my project because I need a few people standing, sitting etc in different poses

You could always try something like poser. You could use premade poses and characters. Should save you some time.
