View Full Version : Animation Goal after Reactor

I want to do this logo animation of a cubish object bouncing over a plane. This all works fine. But I need the object to reach a certain position after the physical reaction.
So, at first I have this keyframe animation where I give the object some velocity and spin. Then reactor takes over with Rigid Bodies letting the object bounce over the plane. End the last step, that I currently am not able to di is, that after that bouncing the object should come to a rest in a specified position/rotation.

I hope I could get my problem across, and that someone has any ideas.

Thank you very much in advance!

hmm interesting, im gonna just guess here but if you are in max 8 you can save all this animation to .xaf and also save another with the final position, load this animations with motion mixer and it can make a smooth transition between both animations.

just guessing though.

other option would be finishing it by hand.

Hm, I thought Motion Mixer is only for Bipeds. How can I open Motion Mixer without using Biped?
Sorry, I forgot to mention, I'm using max 7

I also thought, that I might need to finish it by hand. But I guessed that having it simulated is more realistic.

Is there really no way?

I am trying the following now: Animate it in reverse. That is, the object starts at the desired position, I then use wind to blow it away, and reverse the keyframes after that. But the object doesn't do anything after I applied a Wind Space Warp to it...
