I know most of the major 3d apps are pretty much equal(depending on which people you ask) but I'm just curious which 3d software has the most support and tutorials? I'm a total beginner so every little bit helps.

I'm currently leaning towards maya or XSI to begin learning with.

Definitely Maya. They've been targeting educational institutions pretty heavily, so they have lots of support, tutorials, books, and whatnot. Basically, they're trying to get to the top of the industry by targeting the next generation. Apple's doing the same thing.

Blender r3presents too...

I am sorry but this isn't a good idea for a thread. Everyone will just replying recommending whatever it is that they use, just like when people ask "what is the best 3D package", which we don't allow.

I am going to close this thread. I can assure you that both XSI and Maya have good technical support though (from the developers themselves).
