I am using a Asus nividia geforce 4 ti deluxe and running dual monitors. It works fine but in applications like Maya, if I drag a window that uses openGL into the second monitor it ceases to work properly. I can no longer interact with the window until I bring it back to my primary screen. What could be the possible problem and how might I go about fixing it?

In short - use Nview instead of Dualview. Don't tell me you are using nview already cause you are not, at least not correctly. Search this board for "Dualview", in different OSs and drivers there are different ways to turn Dualview off and turn Nview on.

[edit] Basically I suppose you're on XP so deattach the second monitor in Display Properties and enable Span Mode in Advanced Properties in Nview tab.

Make sure under your advanced video settings that you have multi monitor turned on for OpenGL. Helps to be running the latest nvidia drivers also. Mine works fine using dualview. Nview and Dualview are the same things in XP. XP has native support for dual monitors and nview adds abunch of options. Spanning is your only alternative to dualview.
