View Full Version : Particles which enherit color from texture?
superegophobia 10-30-2005, 06:52 PM I was following along with this tutorial: http://www.gnomononline.com/written.php?tutorial_id=41 and got stuck at the part where it says "This can be accomplished by baking lighting into the textures on an object, then getting the surface to emit particles which inherit color from the baked texture."
How do you make particles inherit color from the object's texture?

Hi!
Look at the bottom section of particleShape node in Attr. Editor.
There you can find checkbox which is responsible for inherit color.
Baking light on the object's texture is of course unnecessary, but after do this it can add volatile particles' more natural look.
