This painting is modelled , textured and rendered in ZBrush. Since the software handles objects differently, it is very easy to create very complex scenes with minimum memory and computer speed needed.

Software - ZBrush 1.51
Hardware - PIII 667, 512Mb

Any comments welcome! D.S.

This picture shows more painterly approach in creation of this image. The work proceeded from back to front (layer), similar to classical painting, although the objects are in fact textured 3d models :).

I wanted to try that program but the demo would NOT work for me.

That is an utterly bizzare, disturbing but fantastic picture, I love the abstract shapes, the lighting and the beautiful texturing in it.

Weird but in a wonderful way. Well done!

Reminds me of the crater scene in "Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within". :scream:

Thanks for replies!

to BITMAP - the demo is not working or just it is not your cup of tea? I am not quite sure, but I think the demo needs temporary serial number, you should receive it by mail.

to Lukashi - I think this has something to do with your monitor settings, the contrast is good in the original image. Anyway, certain areas are very dark on purpose for effect. Thanks for your remark!

to chepe297 - this image is inspired by novel of Lovecraft, where ancient civilisation develops bionic creatures able to change shape and use it for dedicated work. I can not quite remember the scene in the movie you meant, there was some kind of living lava(?) I think. Thanks for reply.

Awesome. I have Z-Brush, but have never tried it. You give me inspiration. HPL would be proud! Peace and Thank You For Not Making The Usual!

to BITMAP

the number which comes with the download is usually expired. You need fresh one from pixologic. On www.zbrushcentral.com is vast set of technical help, also on this issue.
Anyway, this system of updated serial IS embarrassing, but the software is worth the trouble.
