View Full Version : insallation/renderslave issue

Hey all. i have a comp that im trying to install xsi5 in for a renderslave but before i can install it says "no open GL accelorator was found, continue installation?"

well i installed but its not working as a renderslave :sad: i have that computername listed in the .ray3hosts lists on the other computer i work on but its not utilizing the renderslave

ive had xsi 3-4.2 installed on the slave comp before but now 5 is giving me this warning. the vid card hasnt changed, its ati radeon 9600 pro. any suggestions as to what i can do to fix this?. ive tried the typical driver updates and reinstalled dx9 just incase. but no effect

Sorry im bumping this up. i cant find anyone outside of ctalk that knows what the prob is. :hmm:

Sorry man that doesnt help but thanks. ill be able to use this if i run into other issues. the only prob right now is the Open GL accelerator not found. i dont know what i do about this.. is it video card problem? is there drivers for ogl.. i duno. i also dont know anyone whos had this error message when they went to install xsi :curious:. i have a laptop that the distribution works on. so i know the distribution is working from my workstation. just the one comp with ogl prob thats not working

an OGL accelerator not found will run XSI in software OGL mode, but it will run it all the same.

your problem is something different, probably a firewall/antivirus issue or a networking/services issue.

also what license are you running?
because if you are running an edu one, don't make the mistake to assume it's EXACTLY like an advanced one.
it is like an adv one with two exceptions, one is the EULA not allowing commercial work, and the other is the lack of free MRay satellites.

im using comercial xsi advanced and already have one satallite working with it :) so if mray doesnt require ogl accelorator for a render satallite that helps. ill move onto checking out windows settings. Splins link might help.
