Greetings all,
I'm trying to find out whether people still actively use 2D textures. I thought the best way to find out would be to ask :D I am referring to 2D, seamless, environmental textures.... Or is the big thing now integrating procedurals into 3D work (or something else I haven't mentioned)? Is there a generalized preference (I realize I teeter using the word "generalized" since that's so, well, generalized!) for one over the other?
I'm trying to keep up with the times :) which, in this day and age, can take a lot of keeping up, as things happen so rapidly!
I am interested in your thoughts and opinions on this. . . . Thanks in advance!
