hi people,
for i use c4d in my wip,i wanted tho show you my work. i'd appreciate any comment - it's my first challene contribution and character ever.:wavey:

Try and find all of the reference material you can sad for robots,then tweak it quite a bit for your own version :)
As the guy said think ball joints as the base for where the limbs and arms come out from.Think of it like this,imagine you yourself are building a robot,how would you build it,how would you connect the groin to the torso,how would the legs connect to the groin etc.The other bonus is if you do it that way it should be easier to animate as your joins and joints will be based on realism :)
