Mornin' everybody... *yawns*
Got a quick question to all the Maya masters
out there ;)
I've used Lightwave for some weeks now and now,
as I'm back to Maya, I'm somehow confused.
The problem is the selection type of Maya.
In LW you got the lasso and you can.. (ok, that's
a bit hard to discribe for me, hope you understand what
I mean) move your mouse over the faces and everything
that's under the mouse cursor gets selected. The same
goes for points - you just move the mouse back and forth
and here and there and - WOOSH - the points are selected.
Now, in Maya, if you want to select faces f.ex. you have
to click the point in the middle of EVERY face!! Not just rush
over the thing with your mouse and anything's fine - no!
Every face has to be selected with a click on the center point.
(Same thing with points *sigh)
My question is:
Is there ANY way to get the smooth and fast LW-selection way
or am I doomed to select every single face?
(I've heard something like using Artisan Paint tools for
selecting, but I haven't found anything about that yet)
If anyone can help me - plz!
Selecting every single face drives me NUTS!
Cheers
