Hello,

I am in the dire situation of choosing between the Gainward Golden Sample 7800GTX or the Smaller and cheaer 7800 GT (also a golden sample).

I just cant seem to get any links to reviews of the smaller and cheaper 7800 GT, the GTX has loads of reviews, but not the GT.

I have seen reviews for the XFX and BFG tech but those dont interest me, maybie some of you know a link to a review of one of these cards.

Oh BTW the full name is "Gainward Powerpack! Ultra/3400PCX XP Golden Sample"

Thing is the GTX is quite a bit more expensive and if the performance difference is marginal then i wont fork out for the GTX, but how can i see the performance difference when there are no revies on the GT? XFX and BFG tech are both slower, Gainward cads are the fastes by far when the Golde Sample ones are used, i just find it hard that nobody has an interest in the fastest 7800 GT.

Anyways, thanks for any help and have a nice day!

You didn't use Google did you? Google "Gainward golden sample 7800". There are a slew of hits that come up. If you look closely what you will find is that the 7800GT is called the Ultra 3400PCX and the 7800GTX is called the Ultra 3500PCX.

i actually did use google and i tried your suggestion again, little luck though :-/

I am not interrested in USER reviews, as in waht people think of the card, but how well it performs against competitor cards in black and white tech shootouts.

The ones that offer this Black and white proof are in german and russian, i got it translated though with babelfish so i have a pretty clear picture now.

thanks again

seems the GTX is significantly faster.

Edit: though it's not the Gainward tested...
