I Just got a tablet PC and I was Wondering how you make the pens sensitivity affect the tools in Corel.

The brushes in Painter should already have it activated, but you can make sure by mapping the opacity and other attributes to pen pressure in the brush options/brush designer.

Most tablet PC's need the Wacom Tablet PC driver installed to enable pressure sensitivity in programs not specificately developed for Tablet PC's. You can download the latest drivers here : http://www.wacom.com/tabletpc/driver.cfm

Unless you were unfortunate enough to buy one of the Averatec or new Gateway Tablet PC's as they do not use the Wacom digitizer technology.

It might help to install Wacom's "Penabled" driver:

My Fault,

i just did exactly that! i bought the new gateway widescreen convertible, and just found out that its not wacom based. ug!
if anyone knows of any driver updates or any such magic that can get painter and photoshlop to reconize my pen, i would give them a cookie.

on a related note, i bought alias sketchbook pro, which for some reason does recognize my stylus, and its a great little program.

thanks

Pete,

Check out this thread http://tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=28911 and others over at Tablet PC Buzz. They are really keeping on things with the new Gateway and should have answers that will hopefully help out.
