Hello this is a low poly model (2400 triangles) that I textured using the max8's unwrap tools.
I hope you like this model, comments are wellcome.

Very cool model. The concepts great ,the model looks clean, and the texture looks great as well. All you need now is the gun. Great job , very well done tucho

looks pretty cool.
its too bad you put so much UVW space on the neck and head, when they are gereraly covered... but any ways, cant get it all! :D

I love it. It seems like it's straight out of Metal Slug. :) Has a lot of character. Great texturing.

Hrm. nice model and texture, but it seems a shame on a model with this dense a poly count to model the eyes like that so they can't animate. You're kinda stuck with that surprised expression.

I like this. Personally I would have liked more stubble, however my personal taste shouldnt detract from what is a v. well executed toy soldier. Good Job. :thumbsup:

really nice character modelling and texturing, but to me the texture size is huge compared to the poly density.

Hehe... That's Metal Slug-esque alright :) Nice one, Tucho.

I do have to agree about the UV space for the neck, but the head is fine especially if his helmet gets shot off. And definitely consider making the eyes as seperate meshes so he can glance from side to side...

Texture size to poly distribution isn't a big issue tbh. What you've got works well and you can always reduce then sharpen the texture if it were to be taken ingame. Personally these days, it's not unheard of to work big, then shrink instead of working to true-res. It's all good in my book. Beside, 1000 poly and a 256x256 is so 1990s!

Quality cartoon soldier! Ten Hut! A little variation on one side of his head would be cool too since you decided to UV his whole head and not mirror the UVs. Other than that and the eye issue. Looks really cool. :thumbsup:
