Does anyone knows way to dilate a texture automatically around selection (or semi-automatically) ?
I made a tree texture and its corresponding alpha mask. But to avoid bad filtering effects with the background (white) I would like to expand the tree pixels around the tree edge (defined by a selection).
I tried the smudge, but its too crappy.
The stamp tool works pretty well... but I have thousand of textures like this, so I would prefer an automatic way.
Some kind of photoshop plugin would be wonderfull.

nb: I already tried the Minimum Filter in Photoshop, but it average the pixels too fast...

Thanks in advance.

I made a Photoshop Action that does this. It's not perfect, but might lead you in the right direction. Select the empty areas where you want the smearing to go into. I find it also helps to expand the selection 1 pixel or so.
