Sorry, if this is a repeat post (or a very mucky area), but i couldn't find much of an answer floating around this board, or in various texts
When modeling areas that hinge open a closed (eyelids/lips), is it best to have a singly point for the corner where the object will pivot from, or two vertexes close together.
I have seen both done as many times one way as i have the other. For the lips it doesn't seem to matter much, but especially for the eyes- it seems as if having two vertex at the corner would make folding the lower lid under much easier.
Any comments? I do plan on animating these models, so they must be built as efficiently as possible for animation. Hope the question was clear enough.
