Here is my first serious 3d project,

I have to make a 3d model of this spherical robot sketch using 3d Studio Max, this project is for a web based animation, i will transfer the animation to swift 3d, and vectorize it for flash.

what is your propositions for modeling, animating, bone structure etc.

i am waiting for your posts this will be also a basic robot modeling tutorial for beginners like me...
