vic2004 10-26-2005, 01:28 PM Hi everyone ,this is my first time post my work on CG talk but i'm not new here.Hope someone may like my work.
I made this model in MAX ,5 hours modeling and 4 hours making texture. But the texture still need change.I tried to make a low polygon model but it's still have 2500 polygon on it.
And I test to use normal mapping on another 3D character but looks really bad ,some of map missing.

I really like the Egg Mech. :) Very cute. The texture work and modelling makes it look like it's straight out of a Ratchet and Clank game. Very good!
I also like the soldier a lot too. Solid texture work. Teach me!!! :)

A normal map (www.poopinmymouth.com has a great tutorial on that) or a diffuse map?
It looks like you could use a lot more of that space up in the texture map. Re-arrange the vertices on the map before you start painting.

www.poopinmymouth.com (http://www.poopinmymouth.com/) is really good. Thanks

yeah dude. Fix those UV then go back in and re-paint the texture. you're only using like 50% of the texture space. If even that.
Nice mech, but I'd bet you need to adjust the UV's on that too, the textures look a little simple.

you dont need to repaint the texture, just copy the object re-do the texture co-ordinates, then bake from one to other.
