i just had an odd system crash. no blue screens, no hung up windows,, my system just rebooted completely on its own, then i get a windows crash recover messaget etc...

but ever since MR does not work.

i get this error.
// Error: (Mayatomr.Export) : mental ray startup failed with errors //
// Info (Mayatomr): Aborted //

the plug in is loaded just fine.

i use the first install cd to repair, but that did not do it.

i uninstall, the reinstalled,

its still not working. i get the same error.

i deleted my old prefs and backed them up, maya created new default prefs on start up (seeing the default UI brings back memories hehe),
but MR refuses to work.

could this have something to do with my odd system crash?
