I hear good things about eVGA and BFG. Both have lifetime warrantees, etc...
I have an XFX, and its been running quite nicely.

I have an EVGA 7800GT that has worked great.. most the reviews I looked at had put it atop the other brands as well.

eVGA, XFX, MSI, ASUS, and leadtek are all solid buys:)

^^ i agree...i haven't heard of any problems with any of those brands, though my personal preference is eVGA, as i have had their cards, been extremely satisfied, and have yet to run into any issues with them
BFG top models are all OC so I guess my choice will be eVGA. Thank you guys very much !!!
BFG's top models are overclocked at the factory. So you are not doing any sort of overclocking your self. They still also fall within the lifetime warrantee I believe, so there's no harm in these cards, well except maybe the price...
this might be odd but I don't like OC thing. I prefer things to run slower but with longer lifespan.

BFG for performance & lifetime warranty.
EVGA for lifetime warranty.
MSI is so awesome at bundled software.

with a lifetime warranty - why does it matter?

i have a bfg card. havnt had any probs at all with it. i would say go bfg, msi or evga. i dont like xfx as ive had a couple of bad gforces of them starting with an fx5200 card plus a 6600 card (ended up swapping the latta for the bfg card)
ok, but because bfg is OC, I guess it runs hotter than unOC card. I prefer less heat=)

since we're talking about graphics cards, what would be a brand NOT to get ... just out of curiousity.

my bfg card only runs at 58c i dont think thats too hot. plus there oc'ed in the factory where they are made and have cooling on the board so theres nothing to worry about with the whole heat thing

So in other words, its safe to say that 6800 GT OC from BFG is always faster than any other 6800GT?
Can we downclocked it ourself to a normal speed?

i havnt seen any spec sheets on the bfg cards and other makes so im only assuming there overclocking them but if they are it will only be by a little bit just to give them the edge on performance over other manufactuers

BFG. Great card. OC. Lifetime. You can't go wrong.
