hi everyone,

I've begun my first animation in Maya. I successfully setup my character (I think...) thanks to your help.

Now I have a question about animating. I'm finding it very confusing to try to key every single bone that has motion... is there any way I can get around that or am I just gonna have to be very very careful what I want to move so I can key it?

Any other tips on animating characters?

Thanks

Raji

You can create "character sets" that contain certain bones or even all the bones in your model. Then when you have the character set selected, all the bones in that "set" will get keyed. You can create a set for the whole skeleton and sub-sets for the legs or arms or whatever. Read up on it in help menu, cuz i have been away from it for a while.
