Hi all ,
I have very basic knowledge in hardware .now i want to
purchase a Ram ,but it seems that there are many term
such as : DIMM,SIMM,RIMM,ECC,non ECC,EDO,SODIMM.
could anyone tell me about them.

Explaining these terms can get pretty complex. Is there a particular type of upgrade your looking for? Do you know what ram your system is currently using? The system's stats?

You can put in your exact system type (if its a dell, gateway, ibm etc) and find out the type of ram it can use and even purchase it from them.
