i'm a maya user, and i was wondering how do i create the scribbles of the pencil writing?cos i'm gonna animate a pencil , and along it's gliding path,how do i create the pencil traces?
pls help!! :)

you could emit particles from the pencil and give them no velocity.

sounds like an AFX job..... draw the line you want on a real bit of paper. scan it in....... load it up as an image plan into maya, and animate the pencil along the line.

then in afterfx u create an animated mask to reveal the pencil line as the 3D pencil writes.

why not use paintfx? that could do it pretty easily.
