Modify> Poly. Mesh> Boolean> Difference doesn't seem to work, but
Create> Poly. Mesh> Boolean> Difference works fine, except that I need a little bit of effort deleting the 2 mesh used in the op.

Do you guys experience the same thing too?

I'm not sure if I',ve understand you, but If you must to do a boolean I think that "Modify> Poly. Mesh> Boolean> Difference"
and "Create> Poly. Mesh> Boolean> Difference" are tha same things (or no?).
However if you delete one (or two) sourse mesh for your boolean before to have freeze your boolean result, this cames destoyed.:D

You must freeze your boolean object before to delete the sourse object for your boolean.

I hope this help you;)

it works. in the modify thing. just all you need is to freeze your object.

you may alsy try this and have fun with it. make 2 sphere overlap (or crashed into each other) select 1 sphere -> modify -> poly mesh -> boolean -> different -> choose the other sphere -> right click.

you should have it cut. now, grap your sphere, and move it around. like try your base to crash in to the other sphere. it deforms right? hit freeze if you are happy with the shape.
