CGTalk - expressions in r7

Hi folks,

I'm used to actionscript and javascript. Is there any use for me to try to write my own expressions, and no I don't have access to r8, I only have r7. :shrug:

What I am looking for are good tutorials to teach me the basics of expressions.

Like reading and changing the opbject properties x,y,z and rotation of those. Simple stuff really.

there's an sdk and quickstart for COFFEE on maxons website, and if you check the expression samples taht came with your C4D you'll see the files are fairly well annotated.

however if you want ease of use then go to BhodiNUT and download the free BluntTrauma beta, this will give you node based expressions just like Xpresso for r8 (without having to program, or sufer at the hands of teh SDK and docs).

Hi,

probably this won´t help you but I´m about to write a COFFEE book for beginners. The problem is it will be in german. Maybe a translation will take place later when I get enough feedback.

But the release date of the book isn´t set yet for it´s not finished yet.
