For the Source (HL2) mod Final Escape, the mesh is like 99% finished, the only thing I'm not happy with is where the end of the barrel joins the foregrip, looks messy.

Around 6k tris, including 2 bullets in the magazine, fairly detailed stock, and all the other crap that I usually end up putting on despite not being able to see half of it in-game ;)

There's a couple of smoothing and triangulation errors (ejection port cover, left side of receiver), but I'll fix them up when I come to uvmap it.

Crits plz :

lookin good, but 6k is a tad too high for a weapon in a game, you should really be aiming for 3000-4000 tops. Looks nice anyway :)

In all honesty, anything up to 8k is fairly standard for a current-gen game. Bear in mind that polys are fairly cheap performance-wise, whereas fill-rates etc are still fairly expensive, so unwrapping this onto 2x 1024^2's, or even a 1024^2 and a 512^2 should be fine :)
