hi everyone,

I'm new here and I'm sorta new to Maya as well. I've only started with Maya since I started going to school in Utah about a year ago. Since then I've moved around a bit.

Here's the question. Where can I find some good basic tutorials on learning how to use the graph editor? Any indicators would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Raji

Graph editor is pretty straightforward so i dont think you can find graph ed. specific tutorials on the net.

your best bet is to read the maya help files and practice alot with the graph editor.

keyframe some simple objects moving rotating etc. than mess with the curves in graph editor see what they do.

Good Luck

thanks that was what I needed. I've looked at the help files and they were good. I had worked a little with the graph editor in the past, but it's been so long... I actually forgot how to move keys!! Middle mouse button of course... anyway, thanks for the reply. I'm reading all the stuff I can that I think is necessary.

The best way to learn any aspect of maya as soon as possible is to start with the Learning Maya book...then you can complement it with the documentation.

yeah I had gone through the learning Maya book when I first came to the US, but it had been a while since I'd used Maya so I forgot how to use some of the basics.

Thanks

Raji
