Linux Standard Base for the Desktop. Should give a definate target for ISV's wanting to target the linux desktop - It should help ensure that their programs will run on all complient systems and make the business of ISV's porting to Linux a lot simpler. It will build on the work allready being done on http://www.freedesktop.org with the first published standard to happen in early 2006.
I think that one of the things that will interest CgTalk users is the fact that Adobe is actively involved in pushing this standard. (Though I don't think that means native photoshop on linux just yet - Adobe is sure to want a good indication from a lot customers before they head this way)
