the Introduction to Modeler interactive guide on the lightwave3d.com site, I know it was exported as a flash file, but does anyone know what other programs were used to make this tutorial? seems like powerpoiint maybe? it needed to record the movements of the mouse so maybe powerpoint can't do this... maybe recorded in quictime? but how? anyone know? thanx

It was created 100% in Flash MX. The interface is almost 100% Flash....everything is vector except for the viewport windows. If you have any specific questions please let me know.

thanx, so the whole look of lightwave was all drawn in flash by hand?? i thought it was a screen capture? also how did you record the movement of the mouse? like when you click next then an arrow is moving around the screen , how was that recorded? I want to do some tutorials and it seems like a good idea but just don't know how to begin, I have Flash MX. thanx

The interface was created with Symbols for the buttons to save space....the cursor was created with a motion line ...... that allows the cursor (a symbol) to follow a line over several frames....

also, I have the lightwave discovery edition, and still have a hard time figuring out how to use it. I am use to using Cinema so it seems so much easier, but I really really want to learn lightwave and maybe buy it next year. I see all this work on your site and it looks incredible! better than any other gallery for 3d Programs.
give me some feedback, tell me some good things that will get me to learn lightwave. Is the inside Lightwave book good? i was thinking about buying it.
thanx

That's a good book, and there is also over 90 tutorials on our site....plus the great people here that can answer your questions.....you have more learning material at your finger tips now more then ever....dig in and start creating something and you will learn much faster then if you try and learn all things at once....good luck!
