Hi all,
Just made this for fun as my wallpaper. I was inspired by the art of greg martin, who creates wonderful spaces and planets.
Hope you'll like it!

Nice job with this one! It is a peacful space scene. My only question is if space should appear so blue. It seems that a prevailing blue color in space is a little odd. But, you know what, who cares? It's a nice and relaxing picture!

Thank you, i choose blue to get the mood right. it's supposed to be space dust ( don't realy think it comes in blue though :)). I made this for fun and practice. Thanx again for you replay.

very nice, I really like the nebula cloud you put in there, it really fits good there!
I'm a big fan of Greg Martin too, I also made some similar pieces.
only 2 points of (slight) critisism(sp?):
1. you cant see the planet's atmosphere on the shadow side, you got this right on the blue moon, but the yellow planet still has a white edge...
2. eventhough you did a good job with the nebula, the rest of the space looks kind of dull, maybe you should've made the space dust a bit more pronounced, or maybe add some nebulas en star systems in the far distance.

Yes, it is a very nice picture. I think the blue is nice. How did you create the star field, by the way? I'd be interested to know, since I'd like to try something similar for my own entertainment.

Thank you very much for your critique SporadiC, you're right about the planet and i will keep it in mind the next time i do a space pic. It took me a while to figure out the nabula, but i should of paid more attention to the rest as well.
Hi autieri, i created the stars just by duplicating, i made a few dots with a bruch ( diffrent sizes) after that i duplicate the layer, en then flip it horizontally or vertically. I then merged it with the other layer and repeated the proces again. after a while i got a lot of stars, then i erased a few till i got the field i wanted. Really simple actually.
I would recommend you to visit www.artofgregmartin.com (http://www.artofgregmartin.com) if you wanna see some realy nice tuts. there are also some wallpapers out there he made, just google and you will find them, great inspiration too.

Nisay,
Thanks for the link. I'd never heard of Greg Martin before -- and here I thought I was "well rounded!" His work is incredible, and I'll spend some time going through his site. The tutorials look very detailed.
Keep up the great work.
