Move tool acting strangely, please help

I'm trying to move a curve around. Problem is all values I input to the translate boxes seem to get multiplied by 10! So if I input 'translate Y' as 8, the curve moves up by 80 cm.

I am using all the default settings. Discrete Move is set to OFF! So I don't know what could it be...

Move your preferences out of your my docs/maya/pref folder and restart maya and see if it fixes it.
If your pref is in cm then (8) trans +Y is 8 grid spaces=8cm.From my understanding.
I might be misunderstanding you though.


How far or how many grid spaces are = to 8 in the channel box on your view plane?

Thanks, restarting Maya seems to have fixed the problem, atleast for now :bounce:
