I'm looking to achieve a "behind the glass" kinda effect on my banner. Kind of like a plastic glass that sticks out a litte bit. You know like some tv screens, they kind of curve in the middle.

Add a desaturated picture in on or several new layer/s, pull down the opacity of the layer/s to achive a kind of reflection.

I took your banner and cropped it a little bit just to illustrate my answer to this, but i'm not sure if it's what you want, lemme know.

::edit:: kind of crap version of it, but i just threw it on there, it can look better if fiddled with.
