View Full Version : (Semi) Photoreal still test
LordShaitan 11-14-2002, 04:24 AM Hello all. Been posting here for a little bit, but never dared to post my art here, until now. This is just a test of Finalrender stage 0 for 3dsm 4.0. Its a sheat for a chair, minus the shair oviously (didnt have time for the texture on the chair). Mainly a test for textures and to see if i can actually make something look good. The gaps in between the tiles need to be ALOT smaller. Unfortunatly i probably wont have time to work on it for a long while or this will be it. Now everybody please rip it to hell and back!!

well jeff it looks good!! now model the chair before I come home and punch you...if this is not jeff, than oh crap and sorry... but I'm sure it is cause I know your textures!

its good, but should the floor have some shine or maybe more bump than it has, cause this close to the floor and the pillow like that, wouldn't we see more of a 3d surface?

Yup, you got me Paul. I wanted the floor to have a really dirty feel to it, but after rendering i took a look at the floor mi replicatng, and noticed a slight reflection on it, maybe ill render that one next. Just rendered the 8.5 x 11 version at 300 dpi, 2 hours of rendering., gotta love GI. And BTW the chair is modeled, just not textured.
