I finally got a nice Wacom! This is my first attempt at painting with a tablet :)

It's a conveyor belt for an industrial website we are working on.

congrats on getting your new wacom! You have just adopted your new best friend! Remember to name 'im and take 'im out for walks often! ok... just kidding about the walks part... haha... that pic's not bad... i think as you get used to your wacom, you should have more control over your coloring! :D that's a good start! Carry on practicing!

yeah, i know what you mean, i havent stopped using this thing since i got it!!!! It's too much fun!!!!! Takes some getting used to though. I cant for some reason get a good feel for Painter though........seems like i have to press really hard to get a good impression with the chalk (is this normal?), so i decided to just go back to good ole photoshop. Wanted to see what kind of lines i could make. After working with it a lil while im starting to get a lil more comfy with it.........tell you what though, after having this thing for only a few days i already would never want to use a mouse again!!!!!! I'm taking my hands at a portrait now :) ill post when i have some progress (that i deem worthy of others seeing!)

I hope to one day be able to use this thing the same way i use paint as ive seen many people do just that!!! So i dont think it seems too far fetched.

I just love that i dont have to sharpen any pencils, i dont get charcoal all over my hands.....and i never run out of paint!!!! Course the whole not being able to mix paint colors is a kind of downer.....but im sure there is software out there that allows that too!!

ok, back to it!!!

Happy Rendering!!!! (now in 2D too!)

so this was done in painter? is it better than photoshop in the tools department? one thing that might help (I don't know if you do this already) warm up on a crappy drawing, then work on your piece, not to sound disrespectful or anything but your lines (contour) look a little shakey...
