gunslingerblack 10-17-2005, 04:50 AM heres a character i've been kept busy on for some time, im looking forward to completing him shortly
it should be noted that the facial texture as well at textures on the goggles and eyes are only preliminary and do not reflect the actual render.

is this the same as Windsor McCay's little nemo? Or has that been forgotten...

i heard about windsor mccay, i was watching the frank and olly dvd and they mentioned windsor mccays' nemo.
im assuming the 1980s movie was based on mccays comic strip and subsequent animated version but, no he is now a separate entity who only shares the name.
it's more figurative to represent what i come up with in my dreams.

same concept as winsor mccay's and same characters, but not really the same life or style. winsor never really made a movie on it anyway (not one that tells a story, anyway), he was responsible for gertie the dinosaur in the teens, and that was about all he was big for in animation. however, he was huge with his comic strips like little nemo and dreams of a rarebit fiend ..

Windsor McCay was famous for Gertie and his Nemo strip, but he was really prolific (no acetate sheets). Some of of his work has been lost though. There is a great video(now on DVD), containing all of McCay's remaining work, including fragments of animations. Very cool stuff!
