I agree...the paint needs to have some resistence of wanting to come off. Like... "No, No I don't wanna go ...You can't make me..

Whats happening is that the particles are being spawned ONLY where the surface is red. As the red dissolves or peels off the particles do too.

I don't think He was trying to impress you. He's just giving you a simple example of what can be done using LW.
Of course it's up to you to take the example and expand on it using your own creativity and ingenuity!
