I have a problem with my modeler. When I create an object over 2000 poly, My grid disappears when I try to zoom out in all viewports except the perspective view. It only happens when I have a poly count over 2000. What is the problem? I have lw7.5 osx.2 dual 500mhz 960mb. I am a beginner so any advice will help me. Thanks.

How big is your object????????(Absoulte size)
Sounds like its too small or too big.
I couldnt tell from your screens.

Also,what Graphics-card are you running????
