Greetings everyone,
I'm new to the CGtalk, er society forums and would like to introduce myself. I go by and have gone by the online moniker Spear, for as long as I can remember and am an aspiring 3d artist who hopes to find a place in the game industry one day.
Of course, my first thread wouldn't be complete without introducing some of the grizzled veterans here to a 'complication' I've been having. My problem is the lack of good FarCry tutorials on building or static mesh design. I've seemingly searched all over the web for guides on how to concoct some solid building designs. I've been to http://crymod.com (http://crymod.com/) and perused their forums to no real end, unfortunately.
I'm not a complete newbie to 3dsmax and have done some modeling and am pretty familiar with editable polys and whatnot. I suppose my main issue is properly scaling, snapping, and making sure my models are 'clean' as they can possibly be and will consequently transfer over to Sandbox (Crytek's FarCry editor). I've already got a hold of exporting models into Sandbox, so that's not a problem.
Just in case anyone's curious, here's a render of a model I made for one of my 3ds max classes last semester. It's not related to anything farcry or even game design at all, but just for those who might find it interesting :)
*EDIT*
I'm uncertain as to why the images aren't displaying correctly. I just uploaded them today and checked the path again. Hopefully these links will work:

I hope you enjoy the renders and maybe offer some feedback on them as well. Thanks for your time everyone!

*EDIT*
Thank you so much Archangel, that site is fantastic! I didn't think I'd ever get these images up.
