CGTalk - burnt film look

got a scene where at the end i want it to look like the film catches on fire i am using shake, but if posible i can use after effects.

Excuse my stupidity, but why you posting here then?

Anyways, for any software i would think of masking a fire clip and slowly removing the mask to show the fire clip as if it's catching on the whole movie.

I would also add a crumple effect to dramatize the clip being shrinked as plastic would.

If you were to use Combustion i'd probably add some smoke particles.
