View Full Version : texturing polygons
bloddy_newbee 11-13-2002, 07:33 PM I've a lot of problems with this f** texturing. I hope one of you can help me!
It's just an example but it shows my problem very well. I've a polygonal objekt and I wanna texture it.
Some of the faces of the object shall get different pictures and the hole object shall get a layered shader with some
structure. In my example, picture A1 shall be this structure. Sorry for this terrible pattern, I know it's not beautiful.

I'm not exactly sure what you want to do, but to assign materials to individual faces, select the face then drag n' drop, or Edit>Assign... from the multilister.
Hope this helps

hi playmesumch00ns!
I wanna create a layered shader. On the one hand the pictures on some of the faces, on the other hand another shader for the hole object. You can see it very well in the attached file.

I did take a look at the attachment, I sorta think I understand...
You want the photograph image to only be on the faces you specified, but do you want the pattern to be on the WHOLE object, i.e. on the photograph faces as well e.g. blended with the photograph images?

Right, I guess you got it. Have you any ideas for my problem?
