Hello I was wondering if there is a way to properly convert 4.2 animation and file information to 5.0? I have a bunch of animation that was made in max4.2 but when i open the files in 5.0 they either crash or the animation is screwed up... ?

Can you give us all a bit more information? What did you use in the animation? Generally things like animation would only screw up if the modifiers or tools used had significantly changed.
Did you resave the file on immediately opening to make it 5.x?

Theres some scripts out there to go from 4.2 -> 5. I also think in terms of animation that max 5 has a lot of changes to it, compared to 4.2. Thats what I've heard.
