"Coming soon to a game console near you: a Steven Spielberg video game. The acclaimed film director and producer has agreed to develop three new games under a long-term exclusive deal with video game maker Electronic Arts Inc. The deal to be announced Friday reflects the increasingly intertwined interests of Hollywood and the video game industry. "

hopefully this will result in games with good storylines, believable characters and a well told story.

Indeed he was.

"The Dig" was another great adventure game that came out of LucasArts.

I kinda wish Spielberg would make the movie of it now that the technology
to bring it to fruition is available.

Yes. Oddly enough even that game had a great plot, amazing (for me) graphics and Hades of a bad ending.

Film and Games are one day going to merge - This looks like a good place to start.

... personally I don't hope they merge, actually. I like the director showing me something he wanted, really.

yeh... sometimes I like to kick back and watch artistry. There is room for both, none of this merging nonsense... they both can develop independantly. :)

Wasn't Spielberg involved in making olf Tresspasser too? (The game was nice try, but that days P200s just couldn't calculate all the physics stuff in timely and correct manner...)

I hope not but check this out

Even this gets me excited and I dont play games :) And with this type of realism, I wouldnt be surprised if more film studios one day either make games, or help in the making of a game.

Play Battlefield three Now!~! Only once I get through this 20 minute long preview for coca cola which I can't space bar out of, and all that other jazz in Hollywood. I'm all for entertainment don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be going to school for it if I wasn't. but honestly I wish games would stick to their own little realm. Create its own Hollywood for itself. The only way I see it is Hollywood is getting more and more interested in games and digging its claws into it simply due to one little thing. >>> $ <<< . oh and also because they are desperate because films have sucked lately. I don't know why, it just seems wrong, seems almost er, greedy of em. Someones going to tell me "wake the Whoot up and face the reality of business" whatever. As long as I don't have to play games where the emphasis of gameplay is interacting with Paris Hilton or similar untalented ****** and I still get to blow shit up, I'll be happy.

"These gentlemen in white coats holding a restraining coat are just ... errr.. models, yes, that's right. There here for a photoshoot. Would you like to be on a photoshoot? I bet you would, I bet you would.
