View Full Version : Anyone Selling 8.2 or 8.5?
Jonj1611 10-13-2005, 04:02 PM Hi,
I know a couple of people have listed their versions for sale and I am not sure if they sold or not.
Can't afford C4D 9 at the moment so I am in the market for 8.2 or 8.5, the base package or with AR at realistic prices please.
If you are selling yours send me a message with a price please.
And no academic versions or upgrades please.
Thanks
Jon

Doh!
I thought I covered everything, forgot my address!!
I live in the UK.
And as I can't afford a lot I am only looking for the base package or one with ar and an older version to keep it a bit cheaper!
Thanks all

Damn my infernal mind.
Ok, I also only need the PC version!(thanks anyway)
Ok, so I am looking for PC version of C4D Base Version 8.2/8.5 in the UK.
I also don't have a lot to spend which is why I am looking for version 8.
If anyone is getting rid of theirs or whatever let me know, it is easier than Ebay!
Thanks

I'd love to sell my 8.2XL Mac and I'd do it very cheap too as I don't see the point in it hanging around not being used, but according to Maxon UK I'm not allowed to even though I am now on 9.5 and don't use 8.2. AFAIK and unless someone contradicts Maxon UK here, you cannot do this.
Cheers

I think that if you have uprgaded your license, you cannot sell the older license ( it makes sense after all.
which brings up a good point, JonJ1611 make sure the version you buy has not been upgraded before buying it.--

Sorry Jon not meaning to go off topic but just wanted to reply quickly to moka-J;
It does make some sense I agree, but I was originally told I could sell it as long as the buyer is aware there will be no upgrade path and I also inform Maxon who bought it. In my view this is a much much more sensible way to go - then at least it would no longer be sat gathering dust on my shelf when a less fortunate artist could be making use of it, either as a hobby or in order to help earn enough to buy the latest version.. if it sits on my shelf no-one wins, if I sell it under those conditions all three of us win. just my 2p
Thanks

I have a C4D core 8.5 (Mac, US) that I would sell. I'll even throw in some older Adam Watkins tutorial books. If interested PM me. I'll figure out a price tonight.
(Note this version is a legally transferable license and has not been upgraded.)

well okay, shows how flexible Maxon are to accomodate users - I did not think they would do this, I think many software developers do not allow for it...
I guess you are right, if it is resold, the software firm gets a new user, who may later buy a version from them. Both the use and the seller get something out of it, -
I think it is fine when it is clearly stated, but if someone is buying, then should make sure they understand the limitations,
