View Full Version : smokescreen
azreal_hymn 11-13-2002, 02:05 PM Hi guys. back again. this time i am gunning back to my own style. the previous post are mostly production and testing style. i still feel more comfortable with my old style. old habit die hard. anyway, this was done using chinese ink. roughly around an hour and half to complete. smoke was faded out in photoshop, other than that, its mostly natural media. planning on colouring it, so see how that one goes.

Wow.. I really like the feeling of it.. its well detailed, and well composed.
I only think that a more subtile line work would make it better, but this is a personal taste.
Really, I like it.

:buttrock: think the line work fits the character. The clouds too! The pic's got such a chinese feel to it! cool style! Just practice more on making ur lines less jaggered. There are some lines here and there that overlap each other where they shouldn't... just thought you should know. :) hope you get to color this one! >waves pom poms<

dis is your style? den its a real good one! :D love your character design. maybe you can touch up the lines a bit. cant wait four your finished version! :bounce:
Very nice. Good balance in the composition. Good idea to fade the smoke out, pulls the viewer's focus to the character.
A little too 'busy'. I think a lesser line thickness in certain areas would greatly enhance the overall feel.
