View Full Version : New Lightwave version in the near future?

Hi everybody,
at the moment I'm thinking about buying the Lightwave competitive upgrade instead of the new 3DS MAX 5 update (they are nearly the same price and Lightwave's Renderer and SubPatches rock).
However, my great question is, if there is a new Lightwave version to be expected in the near future. I don't want to buy Lightwave 7.5 and a month later the update to Lightwave 8.
Has anybody any information on this subject? Thanks in advance!

If your timeframe is a month than you are safe

Look for some type of update around April and most likely it will be a point release so you should be able to get it free

The point release is expected before 2003 (which will probably be free). The big upgrade or next-gen app. will be released in spring/early summer, probably.
