SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- Jun Mung-gyu remembers the throbbing pain in his head and shoulder aches from spending as many as 15 hours a day hunched over a computer keyboard battling his online foes.

The addiction has been in North America for Years... At least for those who use to game on Muds like EOTL back in the day. Yet the Dreamcast had me hooked on Phantasy Star Online like a fiend.

Thats very worrying, I know what it's like to loose yourself in a game, these days I only play about once a week with freinds and that does me, but I think the people organising tournaments should develope a more healthy approach to holding tournaments like rest breaks and rules like "time outs" and so on and gamers must get up out of their chair and just walkabout or do a few stretches, I just think it would make for better gaming as people would feel more refreshed and better able to concentrate on each game and most importantly it would be healthier for the person playing the game.

The habit has even been deadly: In August, a 28-year-old man died after nearly 50 straight hours of playing online computer games.

thats is insane and scary, let me think, my record of playing online is 4h straight.

I refuse to buy, or even play, WoW because I KNOW I would never walk away from my computer.
It's bad enough with these forums!!

I don't think I've ever played a game more than a couple hours at a time before taking a break, but then again I don't play mmorpgs...

Well the cure to this addiction is simple. You grow up. You have to pay bills, you work your ass off 8-10 hours a day, which leaves you not much of a quality time that you'd rather spend away from the computer. :D
