Hi, just check "Blend using alpha in texture decal" in display options. (only works in texture decal mode though). If you want to see it in normal textured mode, a way I found is to give your object an actual transparency value before plugging in your texture. Then when you plug it it obeys the alpha. Weird but it works. I guess there must be a classier way to do it.

Hi
I am attempting to solve the same problem. I want to be able to quickly be able to view my alpha combined with my diffuse texture in the viewport.
However, I have tried the steps you suggested above with no effect. All I can still see is the alpha texture displayed without blending with the color texture.
In the Render region it shows up correctly but how do you show it up in the viewport.
I have searched in the documentation and on sites and the closest I have come to a solution is to use a real time shader. Surely it is not this complicated to do the most simplest of 3D tasks in XSI.
