View Full Version : Where's my dirt?

I've noticed you can use a low sample Ambient Occlusion to creare dirt in 9.5,
but textures from older projects still bring up the dirt shader complete with options.
Also the dirt map to vertex map feature has gone, which I will very much miss.

Is there a way to get these things back?

use baker to turn ao into vertexmaps. and really i'duse ao rather than dirt (it's a lot faster for a start and will get you the same result).

OK makes sense, can you animate with AO, without the flicker?

yup, AO doesn't flicker in animations.
