Hey all,

I am wondering if its possible to add properties to the Object PPG spdl. i have a few custom parameters that i would like to show up when i open object ppg. Is it possible to creat a custom object ppg?

The SPDL files are customizable, but I'm not sure what you want exactly. Just open up the SDK manuals and have a read through the SPDL section. There's a lot possible.
Also if you rightclick in the lightgrey area of the opened PPG (where the text lives) you can open up the SPDL. (Edit... and Refresh commands)
Most of the XSI SPDL's are write only, so you have to adjust that if you want to save it.

Hope this helps,

a "write only" dataset... interesting concept :)
Kinda like a dev/null that takes space on the drive.

well anyways i know about spdl and a decent amount about editing them. leme rephrase the question. Is it possible to link a custom spdl to the object that will open when i select the object and hit "enter"?

This is what synoptics and cpsets were designed for (although I have never tried it with cpsets). If you hit F3, you will open the attachments. Other than that I never heard of what you want in XSI.

its not somthing i have heard of either. but you know.. sometimes you just get an idea and think "Hey what if i could do this" so i asked if anyone knew. no matter. it would only be a small convienience if it worked anyways. always worth the time to ask though. :lightbulb :D
