This is just a very first concept sketch of my painting.
I draw this because I want to draw a lot of animal, showing a grand feeling.
The color will be golden, as i want to show that he is really the "King"

I m trying the composition of the painting, i want to make the king bigger in foreground, and more dramatic volcano on the background.
And there is a queue of animals following the king!

Hi Galan! So you finally entered the challenge! :)

It looks like a concept for fantasia! I think there's a good opportunity for you to make it into something really nice!

Everything looks good so far. Only thing I would try to do might be to lower the horizon and bring up the foreground, to get a better "Moses leading the masses across the red sea and coming up the hill effect". Another thing is, I really don't know about the king riding a horse if he is the king of all animals. Riding a lion or some other more exotic beast seems more regal and fantastic. Anyway, there's no need to take my word for it, a horse is always great!

I really love your last sketch and the way you've captured the movement of the animals, etc. Really fluid.....this looks really promising and you still have enough time to come up with something truly spectacular.

The environment should allow for some great colour schemes, so can't wait to see how this develops.

Hey Galan, it's wonderful!! I mean your latest update and seeing that you have not given up on the challenge.

I like the colors as it feels very grand/apocalyptic. I guess my only crit would be the face+neck area of the horse. It seems to be smiling too much and the angle of it seems a little strange.

Finally the coloring nearly finish!
But still lots of work to retouch the detail to final image!

thx...but I really don't know if I have improved that much, only that I have more time to work on it than others. Right now, I just want to get it done more than anything. I feel like starting over, because I'm so, so tired of looking at it!

A gigantic volcano is exploding in a jungle. Fire and lava are everywhere and start to spread all over the forest.
The Hero is the man, riding on a white horse, holding a bright glowing crystal, and leading all the animals in the forest to escape.
He can rule the animals, keep them in peace to run together, in this Spectacular moment, he is the King of Jungle!

In the painting, I try to capture the moment when he is leading the animals to escape from the disaster.
The color tone is red and orange, because of the light source from the fire and volcano.
I want to express the "royal" feeling of the man, that's why I put him on a white horse, but not a Lion, that will make him like a barbarian.

Story:
