CGTalk - Mental Ray manual

Hi.
I use 3Ds max and mental ray 3.4. The manual from max have a chapter about mr, but its very small. I miss a explanation about all the subshaders with pictures etc, a nice explanation about GI etc. Something like the manual from finalrender.
I have take a look at their website but i cant find there a manual. Is the manual from mr with Maya or XSI better?
Where i can get a nice manual or a good website where all the functions from mr are described?

Hey, this manual might be a little older maybe mental ray 3.3, but you will get a lot out of it. It goes into detail about everything. After you are done with it you will be profecient with it.

The mental ray manual is included within 3dsmax, but you won't find any step by step instructions on GI, etc...it's moreso an explanation of the theory behind how everything works.
